Trey's Tour of Truckee (Lake Tahoe)
We took these pictures with a digital camera loaned to us by Trey's daughter Chrissy. We rode to Tahoe City on Lake Tahoe on this day. On the way we stopped at Squaw Valley, the sight of the 1960 Winter Olympics. Here a few interesting shots.   CLICK on each photo for a full sized picture.
Squaw Valley On the Bike Path
The road was too busy and narrow to ride safely so we resorted to the bike path. It was worth it because the ride along the Truckee was beautiful. CLICK for a full sized picture.
This is us at Squaw Valley. The mountain in the background has a cable car that goes to the top. It costs if you want to go up but free for the down trip. So . . . if you want to hike to the top you can get a free ride down. CLICK for a full sized picture.

Truckee River Scene
Jim is amazed by the clarity of Lake Tahoe's water. It is said that you can see down over 85 feet. CLICK for a full sized picture.
This green place opened up suddenly as we rounded a curve in the bike path. In real life it is what heaven must be like. CLICK for a full sized picture.

This is Fanny Bridge. You can see why with all the people facing the river. The water coming out of Lake Tahoe feeds the Truckee River. It is the most amazing blue color. I tried to capture it in this photo. CLICK for a full sized picture.
