club ride

What a great time! There's absolutely no way to get that kind of training on your own. I have developed a new scientific formula that describes it....(ego+pride) x desire=degree of pain and suffering. Perhaps Aaron Holmes can use his engineering background and mad math skills to prove the equation.?

I'm pretty sure that if you add one step you end up with the equation for spontaneous human combustion:
{(ego+pride) x desire}/fitness=EXPLOSION!

Through field testing on the final uphill section of Secrest Rd. this past Wednesday night I personally vouch for the formula, especially John's corollary.

Especially after stopping twice to pick up someone's bike parts. After that little chunk blowing TT, I'll get the owner gps coordinates and they can go back and get it themselves! If you hadn't got caught out on the stop sign north of the pines, I might have imploded on the side of the road.

114 TSS? 114 seconds Time Stopped in Seconds? Time Standing Still? Track Stand Seconds? Too Stinking Short? Too Stinking Slow? Time Spent Searching (for Tim).

I love it Mike.... Did you hear that Tim.."A''... We can make our own TSS... Remembering when.... in 2008, on a 45 mile off road, March Mayhem tour in the Wilds. Somewhere in Zainsville, I believe. 9 p.m. 12 miles still from the finish, at Mrs. Finch's house.
TSSTD....Time Spent Searching for Tim and Dom.... :?: :P

TSS (Training Stress Score) ranks the stress of any workout on an arbitrary scale where 100 = 1h at 25-mile time trial pace.

As you can see, I worked real hard on my downhilling skills and can easily achieve a 200 TSS as long as it's downhill for 1 hr.

114 TSS

TSS (Total sum of surprises)....that occurred on the ride. As counted by Dick Wiley.

Such as snot rockets landing on your face, potholes that you bump over, farts that you heard from the pack, flirts from homely amish gals, road apples ridden over, the bird given by passing drivers, paceline attacks, painful climbs, and other sufferings.

I was thinking Traumatic Sack Slams, but that might be more of a mountain biking phenomenon...
