Aaron Holmes did a really interesting presentation on his Black Walnet bike last Tuesday, January 10th at the Wooster Library. He started with the concept, research and design process. Then he showed photos of the step-by-step evolution of turning 4/4 boards into a built up, laminated wook frame. He brought along the templates he used to hollow out the insides and someo of the scrap pieces showing the laminations and rough look of the frame before sculpting, sanding and finishing. This was probably the best two hours of the entire winter so far (outside of the holidays). Thanks Aaron for a great evening.
