Here’s an exposè and first ride on the all new Dura-Ace Di2 Disk Brake setup. Pretty impressive with “intelligent” shifting and integrated power meter. Feast your eyes and dream on. At around $3,000, you better have a pretty good engine to justify the price.

Aaron Holmes did a really interesting presentation on his Black Walnet bike last Tuesday, January 10th at the Wooster Library. He started with the concept, research and design process. Then he showed photos of the step-by-step evolution of turning 4/4 boards into a built up, laminated wook frame. He brought along the templates he used to hollow out the insides and someo of the scrap pieces showing the laminations and rough look of the frame before sculpting, sanding and finishing. This was probably the best two hours of the entire winter so far (outside of the holidays). Thanks Aaron for a great evening.
I was looking for a new helmet and did a search for “best cycling helmet ” and came across In the Know Cycling. This guy is really good. He does a nearly scientific review of a bunch of different items including helmets, wheels, tires, groups and components and so on. He actually buys, rides, uses everything he reviews and evaluates, compares and contrasts them in a systematic way. Check it out.
